5-Day Free Course · Accounting & Tax

AI for Accountants Faster Close. Cleaner Books.

CPAs and accountants spend long hours on reconciliations, tax memos, audit walkthroughs, and management reports. AI can shorten the parts that should be short and free your judgment for what actually requires it. This course teaches the workflows that hold up in front of a partner, an auditor, or the IRS.

A teacher's-eye introduction.

This 5-day course is built for working accountants — staff at a Big Four practice, controllers at a mid-size company, sole-practitioner CPAs, bookkeepers, and tax preparers. The goal is not to make you an AI expert. The goal is to give you five workflows you can use on Monday morning and a clear sense of what AI can and cannot do safely on a regulated workflow.

Each day produces a real deliverable — a templated journal-entry assistant, a reconciliation accelerator, a tax-memo first draft, an audit-evidence summarizer, and a month-end close playbook. By Friday you will have a small toolkit that lives in your engagement folders. By Monday you will be using it on real work.

This course assumes nothing about your AI experience. It does assume you know debits and credits, you have used Excel, and you understand that anything you put into a public AI tool becomes part of someone else's training data unless you choose otherwise. We will cover the data-handling rules carefully because they matter for client confidentiality and AICPA Code of Conduct compliance.

The 5 Days

Each day stands alone. Read in order for the full picture, or jump to the day that solves your most painful workflow first.

Concrete outcomes by Friday.

By the end of the week, you will have done the following at least once and have templates to repeat them on real engagements.

Reconcile in half the time

Use AI to flag exceptions on bank, credit-card, and intercompany reconciliations — and document the review trail your senior expects.

Draft a tax research memo in an hour

Produce a defensible first draft with proper IRC and Treasury Reg citations, then verify each citation before you sign your name.

Summarize a long contract for audit

Pull material terms, off-balance-sheet implications, and revenue-recognition impacts from a 60-page agreement in minutes, not hours.

Write CFO-ready commentary

Turn raw variance numbers into the kind of plain-English explanation a CFO actually wants to read. Same numbers, ten times faster.

Cut your close by days

Build an AI-augmented close calendar that compresses the routine portions and reserves your judgment for the entries that need it.

Stay inside professional standards

Know which workflows are safe, which require client consent, and which AI tools to never put PII or PHI into. AICPA-aligned guardrails throughout.

Three kinds of accountants read this.

CPAs in Public Practice

You audit, prepare returns, and write memos all week. AI is the new staff associate. This course teaches you how to delegate to it without giving up your professional standards.

Controllers and Industry Accountants

You own the close, the management report, and the audit. AI compresses the routine and frees you for the judgment calls. This course teaches the close-acceleration playbook.

Bookkeepers and Solo Tax Pros

You run a small practice or work for one. AI lets you serve more clients without hiring. This course teaches you which workflows scale and which still need your eye.
